MEDELLÍN, Colombia — September 22, 2025 — Green Coffee Company has officially commenced its 2025 primary harvest across 45 owned and operated farms in Colombia. Mobilizing over 400 full-time team members and more than 1,000 agricultural specialists, the company is executing a targeted operational strategy to deliver premium, fully traceable 100% Colombian coffee to expanding retail and private-label markets across the United States and Canada.
Despite broader regional weather variations impacting overall sector volume, Green Coffee Company has implemented advanced agronomic techniques and enhanced picker training that are driving significantly improved coffee cherry density and quality. The company projects a minimum 20% increase in usable coffee yield per kilogram of harvested cherry compared to the previous year, substantially reducing recollection costs per unit and optimizing farm-level efficiencies.
By coupling precision agronomy with industry-leading post-harvest infrastructure, the operations team is ensuring North American commercial partners receive exceptional, fully traceable Colombian coffee while positioning land holdings for unprecedented long-term output.
Central to this year’s harvest execution is the company's state-of-the-art wet milling infrastructure, including the flagship Esmeralda mill, which previously set an industry record by processing over 1 million pounds of coffee cherries in a single day. Recent capital upgrades—including automated size-sorting systems unique to the Colombian coffee sector, advanced cleaning tanks, and expanded drying installations—prepare the operation to process millions of pounds of high-grade coffee weekly at peak capacity starting in October.
In tandem with current processing milestones, strategic lot renovations and maturing tree cycles are programmed to deliver the largest total harvest volume in company history for the upcoming 2026 cycle. Freshly processed green coffee from the current primary harvest is already slated for immediate export to North American distribution hubs to fulfill growing demand for both the iconic Juan Valdez® brand and custom corporate private-label programs.
